We are thrilled to announce that the West Wiltshire Youth Sailing Association (WWYSA) has been recognised with three distinguished awards at the 2025 RYA Awards, held on 22nd February alongside the RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show at Farnborough International.

The Green Blue Team Award

WWYSA was honoured with The Green Blue Team Award, which celebrates affiliates actively implementing sustainable practices and environmental projects to reduce their carbon footprint. This accolade underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable sailing practices within our community.

Inspirational Race Coach/Instructor Awards

In addition to the organisational award, two of our dedicated instructors, Margaret Pell and Nigel Silman, received the Inspirational Race Coach/Instructor awards. This category acknowledges individuals who have shown exceptional dedication to coaching, mentoring, and inspiring sailors to achieve their best on the water. Margaret and Nigel's unwavering commitment has been instrumental in nurturing the talents of our sailors and fostering a supportive learning environment.
