Join Us for a Fantastic Sailing Experience at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy!

We are excited to invite you to a fantastic sailing event at the renowned Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) – the 2012 Olympic sailing venue! This fantastic day out is hosted at the Andrew Simpson Centre and offers a brilliant opportunity for our members to experience open water sailing in a stunning location.

WPNSA boasts excellent facilities for both sailors and non-sailors alike, including a café, showers, and a pleasant terrace for relaxing. The Andrew Simpson Centre provides a modern fleet of boats, outstanding instructors, and full safety cover to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience. For those not sailing, there are plenty of nearby attractions to enjoy as well.

Our first trip will take place on 18th May 2025, running from 9am to 4pm with a break for lunch.  This event is open to anyone who is a member of WWYSA and holds a Youth Stage 1 qualification or is at an Adult Level 1 equivalent.  The cost for this year's event is £65, which is the same as last year.

If you'd like to join us, please confirm your place by completing our online registration form before the 14th April. Once registered, we will send you further details and information regarding payment.

This is the first of two planned Portland events this year, with a second date on 13th July and we will be sharing further details on this soon.  The July date may be a better option for newer members who have not yet completed Stage 1 before our first trip.

Please note that no transport will be provided, so you’ll need to make your own way there. However, our instructors and team will be on-site to guide you throughout the day.
